Get ready to snap your fingers because The Addams Family, The Musical Comedy is creeping its way back to UK stages in 2025 – and it’s heading to The Lowry, Salford from 12th to 16th August!

After two massively successful UK and Ireland tours and a spectacular sold-out concert at The London Palladium, this delightfully dark and hilarious musical is back to bring its signature blend of spooky charm and toe-tapping tunes to audiences once again.

A Ghoulishly Good Time

Based on the iconic characters created by Charles Addams, The Addams Family musical features a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice (the brilliant minds behind Jersey Boys) and music and lyrics by the Tony Award-nominated Andrew Lippa. It’s a show that’s full of heart, humour, and, of course, a little Addams-style macabre magic.

What’s the Story?

Wednesday Addams – the original princess of darkness – has a secret, and it’s the kind that would send a shiver down Morticia’s spine. She’s fallen in love with a ‘normal’ young man from a respectable family! With her devoted father, Gomez, sworn to secrecy, chaos ensues as the Addams and Beineke families meet for a dinner party like no other. Expect laughter, surprises, and plenty of creepy, kooky fun!

Who’s Involved?

While casting is still to be announced, the production will be directed by Matthew White, with choreography by Alistair David, production design by Diego Pitarch, orchestrations by Richard Beadle, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, sound design by Richard Brooker, and casting by Jane Deitch. With a stellar creative team behind it, this production promises to be a must-see for musical theatre fans and lovers of all things Addams.
