Get ready for a glittering, high-energy musical spectacular as Priscilla Queen of the Desert embarks on a major UK, Ireland, and international tour! Opening at Manchester’s Palace Theatre on 16 February 2026, the production will travel across the country through July, bringing its dazzling mix of comedy, heart, and show-stopping tunes to audiences everywhere.


From the producers behind Hairspray the Musical, The Full Monty, and Shrek the Musical, this new tour will be directed by Olivier Award-nominated Ian Talbot OBE and feature choreography by Olivier Award-winner Matt Cole—promising a spectacular revival of this beloved show.


What’s the Story?

Based on the 1994 Oscar-winning film, Priscilla Queen of the Desert follows three friends on an unforgettable road trip across Australia, traveling in a battered old bus to put on the show of a lifetime. Along the way, they face challenges, encounter unexpected friendships, and discover the power of self-acceptance and belonging. The musical is a heartwarming and hilarious celebration of identity, diversity, and the importance of staying true to yourself.
