Hope Mill Theatre has announced the lead casting for the return of their hit production, the true crime rock musical LIZZIE, this October for a strictly limited 3-week run! Following its successful Manchester run in September 2023, the show will return to Hope Mill from Thursday, 17th October to Sunday, 10th November 2024.
Kayleigh McKnight will star as Lizzie. Kayleigh has an impressive resume, with roles in productions such as SIX (West End), Mandela (Young Vic), Hugh Jackman: The Man. The Music. The Show (World Arena Tour), Tina: The Tina Turner Musical (Aldwych Theatre), Jesus Christ Superstar (Regents Park), Les Misérables (Queen’s Theatre), Bend It Like Beckham (Phoenix Theatre), The Mikado (Charing Cross Theatre), The Dreaming (Union Theatre), and 14-18 A Spectacular Musical (Studio 100, Belgium).
Kayleigh is also a singer-songwriter, releasing music under the name KAELI (@ohhkaeli).

Lizzie The Musical explores the life of Lizzie Borden, who was accused of murdering her father and stepmother with an axe in the late summer of 1892 in Fall River, Massachusetts. The musical delves into her complex psyche and speculates on her possible motivations, such as loss of inheritance, history of sexual abuse, oppression, and madness.
Lizzie, along with her older sister Emma, maid Bridget, and neighbour Alice, bring this infamous story to life, supported on stage by an all-female band.

This gala evening will feature a concert sing-along version of the show with the full cast (alts included!) Following the performance, everyone is invited to a post-show party at the venue with a local Manchester Female DJ.
