Fans of the darkly comic and ingeniously twisted world of Inside No. 9 are in for a treat! Following a sold-out West End season, Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith are taking their critically acclaimed stage show, Inside No. 9: Stage / Fright, on a 12-week UK tour. Kicking off in Milton Keynes on 9 September 2025, the tour will stop at 11 venues, including the Manchester Opera House from 14-18 October. Tickets go on sale at 12 noon on Wednesday, 2 April.
A West End Smash Hit
After its dazzling debut at Wyndham’s Theatre, Inside No. 9: Stage / Fright received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. The show has been nominated for an Olivier Award in the Best New Entertainment or Comedy Play category and has been praised for its unique blend of comedy, drama, and spine-chilling suspense. With The Sunday Times calling it “dazzlingly entertaining” and The Mail on Sunday describing it as “absurdly entertaining. There’s simply nothing like it,” this is a theatrical experience not to be missed.

A Must-See for *Inside No. 9* Fans
Bringing their signature mix of wit, horror, and theatrical brilliance, Pemberton and Shearsmith promise audiences an unforgettable evening filled with familiar characters, beloved stories, and brand-new material. The duo shared their excitement about taking the show on tour, saying:
“We have been bowled over by the success of Inside No. 9: Stage / Fright. Selling out every performance before the run started and being nominated for an Olivier Award was fantastic enough, but the nightly reaction from fans and newcomers alike has been exhilarating and really quite moving.
So we are delighted to be able to bring the show to a wider audience around the country. The phrase ‘swan-song’ refers to a final performance, often associated with the ancient belief that swans sing beautifully just before their death. Which is a load of bollocks of course as all swans do is shit and honk. So come along to the swan-song tour of Inside No. 9 and see for yourselves how we bow out. There won’t be a dry seat in the house.”

Who Will Join Them on Stage?
One of the highlights of the West End run was the rotating roster of celebrity guest ‘hostages,’ with surprise appearances from stars such as Stephen Fry, Lenny Henry, Mel Giedroyc, Matt Lucas, Michael Sheen, and many more. Which famous faces will join the tour? Audiences will have to wait and see!
Where to See *Inside No. 9: Stage / Fright*
The tour will visit major UK theatres, including Sunderland, Canterbury, Birmingham, Manchester, Woking, Hull, Oxford, Stoke, and Liverpool, before concluding in Edinburgh on 29 November.
With Inside No. 9’s ninth and final TV season now available on BBC iPlayer, this stage tour is the perfect way to bid farewell to Pemberton and Shearsmith’s award-winning creation.
