The Royal Exchange Theatre has revealed the full cast for its highly anticipated production of Abigail’s Party, with Kym Marsh set to make her Exchange debut as the unforgettable Beverly Moss. Directed by award-winning Natalie Abrahami, this modern cult classic will take over the in-the-round stage from 4 April – 17 May 2025, with a press night on Wednesday 9 April at 7:30 pm.

A STAR-STUDDED CAST

Joining Kym Marsh in this razor-sharp comedy are some familiar faces from stage and screen:

Graeme Hawley (Our Town, A Very Very Very Dark Matter) as Beverly’s husband, Laurence.

Tupele Dorgu (Coronation Street, Alma’s Not Normal) as Susan.

Kyle Rowe (Let the Right One In, Young Sherlock) as Tony.

Yasmin Taheri (Princess Essex, Tartuffe) as Angela.

This stellar ensemble promises to bring new energy to Mike Leigh’s celebrated play, known for its biting satire of 1970s suburban life, class, and ambition.

WELCOME TO BEVERLY’S PARTY

Beverly Moss, the ultimate hostess, is throwing a cocktail party with all the right ingredients—flowing drinks, the latest records, and a bowl of olives (though only Laurence seems to like them). But as the evening progresses, the polite small talk gives way to rising tensions, simmering desires, and pure chaos.

This production will make full use of the Exchange’s unique in-the-round staging, pulling audiences even deeper into the awkward, hilarious, and at times, unsettling world of Abigail’s Party.

The production boasts an impressive creative team, including:

Designer: Peter Butler

Lighting Designer: Jai Morjaria

Sound Designer: Melanie Wilson

Movement & Intimacy Director: Anna Morrissey

Associate Sound Designer: Marie Zschommler

Birkbeck Assistant Director: Elizabeth Laurence
